Jets’ Breece Hall injury update: Will knee limit him vs. Seahawks?

When Jets running back Breece Hall didn’t practice on Wednesday because of a knee injury it brought some concern about his status for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
After all, the Jets were coming off a bye week, so in theory Hall should have been feeling as good as he could heading into Week 13 of the NFL season.
But Hall returned to practice as a limited participant on Thursday. And Friday, the star running back erased any uncertainty about his status for Sunday’s game against Seattle.
“I feel fine,” Hall said. “I practiced [earlier Friday] and it felt good. Not sore or anything, so I feel good.”
Hall explained that he suffered the injury early in the loss to the Colts.

“Yeah, tweaked my knee like the second quarter,” Hall said. “Played through it and then rehabbed last week and was still feeling sore, so they let me have a few rest days and then attacked it [Friday] and felt good.”
Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich said Hall was “trending in the right direction” and the Jets were “hopeful” he’d play Sunday, but said the team will factor how he feels Saturday after increasing his workload.
Hall downplayed the break in practice when asked about any uncertainty over his status for Sunday.
“I mean, I practiced,” Hall said. “Football is football. At the end of the day, everybody’s sore, so it is what it is.”
Hall, a third-year running back, has already surpassed 1,000 yards from scrimmage for the second straight season with 632 rushing yards and 401 receiving yards. That puts him on pace for 977 rushing yards and 620 receiving yards for the season, just behind last year’s career high of 994 rushing yards for as season and slightly ahead of last year’s total yards from scrimmage of 1,585 yards, which was also a career high.
So will Hall be gunning for 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career over these final six games?
“I’m pretty close right now,” Hall said. “But it’s not really something I’m actively thinking about right now. That’s really all I’m worried about.”
Meanwhile, Ulbrich already ruled out starting left guard Tyron Smith who suffered a neck injury before the bye and hasn’t played since Week 10 because of a neck injury. Ulbrich said the team and Smith still hasn’t determined if the veteran will go on injured reserve.
Smith, who has declined to speak to reporters multiple times since August, declined comment again Friday.
Meanwhile, linebacker C.J. Mosley who is dealing with a neck injury, was limited in Friday’s practice and it remains uncertain if he’ll play Sunday against the Seahawks for the first time since Week 7. Mosley was hurt during warmups before the Jets’ Week 8 loss to the Patriots.
Mosley was also limited by a toe injury early in the season and has played only four games this season and only twice in the Jets’ last nine games.
